ASDA Committees
The committees will be created by the type of district and other identified types needed for furthering communication with similar districts, county and state resources, local politicians and with legislators on state & federal levels.
The ASDA Executive Board and Administrative staff are able to be a resource for and be a part of committees.
Each committee will set priorities, short-term and long-term goals that specifically address concerns and potential resolutions. Identify specific contacts that have direct impact on resources and legislators that currently or will potentially advocate for special districts.
ASDA Committee Ambassadors
Ambassadors will have the responsibility of representing the Alliance in a positive and ethical manner to promote the mission and goals established by ASDA. Representatives of ASDA cannot use any platform for personal or political gain or persuasion.
Each committee will appoint at least (1) ambassador that will take the specific priorities, contact resources and legislators to discuss concerns and promote their advocacy for special districts.
Committee members will set in-person or virtual meetings at least 1 time per annual quarter and provide this information to the ASDA Administrator for posting on the website and other notification to members.
Ambassadors will report to the Executive Board at monthly or quarterly meetings.
Reports should include the short-term goals in progress or those met and feedback from contacts made.
Ambassadors will report to the Executive Board at the Annual meeting. Reports should include the long-term goals in progress or those met, feedback from contacts and new goals for the upcoming year.
Ambassadors not representing the Alliance in a positive and ethical manner to promote the mission and goals established by ASDA can be removed from the committee with a majority vote of the Executive Board.
